For 3 years, the universities, the 'grandes écoles' (specific to the French educational system) and research organisations have worked together to respond to the invitation to tender issued by the State. The State has chosen to favour five to ten large campuses of higher education and world-ranked research.
The tools of the Programme d'Investissements d'Avenir aim to support and develop Toulouse excellence in research, training and education, and the enhancement and transfer of technologies. Each of these programmes focus resources on strategic areas of research and innovation.
The 22 IDEX programmes in Toulouse are supported by and will benefit the entire university community. The IDEX Arbitration Committee's (CAr) mission is to choose the laureates of the IDEX "Research" programmes (with the exception of the "Equipment" programme, the procedure of which is different) and to validate the process for selecting "training" projects defined by the Directorate. → Make up of the CAr (pdf)
