mexican flagMexican students are the largest population of Latin American PhD students at the University of Toulouse with 45 PhD candidates in 2016, including 3 doing a joint PhD. The École des Docteurs is very involved in the development of the cooperation with Mexico and every year, we participate in « Tu doctorado en francia » event and Europosgrados fairs.

CONACyT Program

conacytIn 2012, a cooperation agreement establishing a joint program granting scholarships for Master, Doctorate (PhD) and short research projects was signed. This agreement has been designed to strengthen the relations and university cooperation between France and Mexico, the National Council of Science and Technology of Mexico (CONACyT) and the Université Fédérale Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées with the support of the Maison Universitaire Franco-Mexicaine. This agreement has been resigned in July 2015.


Scholarships to study in France at the Université Fédérale Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées

All Mexican students can benefit from labeled programs PNPC by CONACyT and can follow a Master's level training program, PhD or a short-stay research study at the Université Fédérale Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées.

All theses can be fully written in English. A minimum level of english or french proficiency is required for all applicants


Requirements for PhD scholarship

  • Hold a degree equivalent to a Bologna complying Master (300 ECTS) with a research experience
  • Minimum GPA 8.0
  • Hold the Mexican nationality
  • Have a certificate of language profiency:​
