University of Toulouse offers language courses to students, PhD students, post-doctoral researchers, researchers or university lecturers and researchers and administrative staff studying or working in one of its institutional members.
Course offer
- courses of general and scientific French as foreign language (FLE) - level A0 to C1
- courses of foreign languages (LVE) :
- general and scientific English - level A2 to C1
- other foreign languages : Spanish, German, Portuguese, Chinese, Italian, Indonesian, Japanese, Norwegian, Russian - beginner level only

- Evening courses
An evening course includes a session of 25 hours. It takes place two evenings a week from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. The group is composed of 15-20 participants.
The time schedule and the place of the course are not fixed in advance, but when we start to organise the course and according to the teacher's availability and vacancy of facilities (city center or Rangueil Campus).

Intensive courses
The intensive session includes 25 hours and takes place during a whole week of academic holidays:
- in autumn (28/10/24 – 31/10/24) > application deadlines: 15/10/24
- in February (24/02/25 – 28/02/25) > application deadlines: 11/02/25
The time schedule is fixed on the first day of class. Classes are held at Maison de la Recherche et de la Valorisation (Rangueil campus, Toulouse).

- You may apply at your own charge all through the academic year on Toul'Box
- You are a PhD student: You may ask the "École des Docteurs" to pay for your course. Registration on doctorat.univ-toulouse.fr
Fare for student or PhD student: 100€ for 25h.
Fare for postdoctoral student, a teacher-researcher, a researcher or administrative staff: 150€ for 25h.

Collective evening courses (other languages)
Collective courses for other languages are delivered for absolute beginners. (Spanish, German, Portuguese, Russian, Italian, Chinese, Indonesian, Japanese, Norwegian)

For regional academic community located outside the city of Toulouse

Collective remote evening courses (French as foreign language and English)

Remote classes are dedicated to students, PhD/Postdoctoral students, researchers, teachers-researchers and administrative staff enrolled or working in one of the ten regional campuses located outside the city of Toulouse.
Evening course includes a session of 25h. It takes place two evenings a week from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. The group is composed of 12-15 participants. The time schedule is not fixed in advance, but when we start to organise the course and according to the teacher’s availability.
Fares:
- Student and PhD students,100€/25h
- Postdoctoral students, researchers, teachers-researchers and administrative staff,150€/25h
After application
- You will receive a code to take the ELAO test and assess your language level. The test result will enable you to select the language module corresponding to your level.
- A class can only open when a sufficient number of applicants belonging to a same level group is reached.
- A final certificate will be delivered to each participant.
- At the end of your training, you may be delivered 3 ECTS credits under conditions and in respect of approval by your host institution.
