Summer School Oncology and Dermatology
The Community of Institutions and Establishments of Toulouse, in partnership with the Cancer Research Center of Toulouse (CRCT), the Canceropôle Grand Sud-Ouest (CGSO), the Pierre Fabre Laboratories and the Toulouse-Oncopole University Cancer Institute (IUCT-O), offers a 2-week intensive short program on Oncology and Dermatology, in Toulouse, France, from June 22th to July 3rd, 2026.

The summer school aims to deepen participants’ understanding of both fundamental and clinical research in oncology as well as applied research focused on developing products for the pharmaceutical industry. Lectures will be delivered by leading experts in the field, including scientists, physicians, CEOs/CSOs, legal specialists and data scientists, offering insights into the challenges of research and its impact on improving patient outcomes. The program also explores key aspects of fundamental and clinical research on pathologies such as cancers, rare diseases, alongside applied research aimed at developing new treatments. Particular attention will be given to processes and roles involved in research and development in the French pharmaceutical industry.

This program is intended for PhD students, professors, researchers, physicians/clinicians, engineers, biostatisticians and pharmacists who wish to adopt a multidisciplinary approach to oncology and dermatology.

The summer school provides 3 ECTS credits
It includes the following services:
- Opening session and welcome breakfast
- 40h of courses and conferences
- Accommodation in an “apart hotel” for 13 nights
- Transportation card for 1 month (unlimited trips)
- Lunches in a universitarian restaurant (from Monday to Friday)
- All activities and excursions (Guided visit, lunches and transportation included)

NB : the fee does not include costs related to flights, insurance (medical and liability insurance), visa, breakfasts, dinners, lunches during the weekends and all extra costs. - Application

- Selection Process and timeline

Once the application file has been submitted, a selection committee composed of expert scientists will meet to review the applications. The results will be announced on April 3, 2026

You will be eligible to register once your application has been approved by the selection committee. After your selection is confirmed, you will receive an email with a link to complete the online payment. Your registration will be officially confirmed once the payment has been received.
Please note the program will open only if we have a minimum of 10 participants.No refund will be made except in the following cases :
- Visa refusal (documentary evidence)
- Course cancellation if insufficient participants
- Family emergencies such as death, accidents, hospitalization, etc.
- A case of “force majeure” as defined in the Article 1218 Civil Code is an event beyond the control of the applicant that could not be foreseen reasonably and which effects cannot be avoided by appropriate measures.

- CANCÉROPÔLE GRAND SUD-OUEST (GSO)
The Cancéropôle Grand Sud-Ouest belongs to the network of the 7 Cancéropôles created in 2003 by the French National Institute of Cancer. Committed to a translational approach from "patient to patient", the Canceropole brings together nearly 500 scientific and medical research teams from Bordeaux, La Rochelle, Limoges, Montpellier, Nîmes, Poitiers and Toulouse around collaborative projects.
